Ando-geol, the Democratic Party preliminary candidate for the Gwangju Metropolitan City Dong-gu Nam-gu (Eul) general election, held the Youth Policy Committee launch ceremony on the 17th and stated, "Youth issues require active measures because they are the task of the main generation creating future growth engines for the Republic of Korea," adding, "To create 'Gwangju where youth return,' we will discover and implement policies that can structurally solve jobs, housing, and leisure life."

At the Youth Policy Committee launch ceremony held at the election office that day, about 70 representatives attended, including Chairmen Kim Hyung-seok and Choi Ji-won, Lee Jeong-min, Chairman of the Youth Innovation Committee, and Park Kwang-soo, Chairman of the Youth Supporters. The Youth Policy Committee will serve as a communication and opinion-gathering channel to convey the voices of young people to preliminary candidate Ando-geol and propose policies.

Candidate An emphasized, "We will promote projects to foster Gwangju's future food industry such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Bio, and Culture and Tourism industries," adding, "Through this, by attracting 10,000 venture companies, we can create 100,000 quality jobs for young people."

He continued, "Although the youth policy budget was about 25.42 trillion won last year, policies and projects overlap, and the delivery system, including the main departments in charge, is too complicated, so the effects are not properly achieved," and argued, "We need to link and integrate policies and increase effectiveness in job creation, housing stability, and self-reliance support through thorough execution and post-performance management."

Preliminary candidate Ando-geol explained, "We will solve youth housing problems by supplying a large number of rental houses above a certain scale and spread a work-life balance culture that balances work and leisure," adding, "We will also prepare measures to expand opportunities for youth political participation."
