The report was prepared in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the National New Drug Development Foundation, the Korea Automotive Technology Institute, and others, selecting analysis fields aligned with the research and development (R&D) initiatives of each institution.

The report includes ▲ technological levels by country and Korea’s competitiveness ▲ technology systems and the importance of each technology ▲ technological status of major domestic and international companies, research institutes, and universities ▲ focus areas by major countries and companies ▲ and future promising technologies.

The report can be accessed under the "Analysis Report" section on the Patent Big Data Center website of the Korea Institute of Patent Strategy Development.

KIPO analyzes domestic and international patent big data annually for industrial sectors that have become socially significant or core, providing results on national technological competitiveness and future promising technologies to domestic private and government R&D institutions.

Mok Seong-ho, Director of the Industrial Property Policy Bureau at KIPO, stated, “For core emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and quantum technology, it is important to utilize patent big data analysis results from the R&D planning stage.” He added, “As the main government agency for intellectual property, KIPO will continue to strive for the efficient development and support of the 12 national strategic technologies that will lead the competition for technological supremacy.”
