Global pop star Taylor Swift donated $100,000 (approximately 133.55 million KRW) to the families of the victims of the shooting incident that occurred during the Super Bowl victory celebration of the Kansas City Chiefs, a team in the National Football League (NFL).

On the 16th (local time), Swift contributed a total of $100,000 through the GoFundMe page set up to commemorate the shooting victim Elizabeth Lopez-Galvan (44), donating $50,000 (approximately 66.77 million KRW) twice. Swift's spokesperson confirmed to local media that "it is true that Swift made the donation." Swift also left a message on the page saying, "Sending deep condolences and sympathy for the tremendous loss. With love, Taylor Swift."

The shooting incident occurred on the 14th in front of Kansas City Union Station Plaza, immediately after the Super Bowl victory parade and stage event. More than 20 people were shot, and one person died. The police initially reported 21 injured excluding the deceased, later revising the number to 22.

The Jackson County Family Court, which has jurisdiction over Kansas City, stated that two teenagers identified as suspects in the incident are being held at a juvenile detention center on charges related to firearms and resisting arrest. The ages and names of the charged teenagers have not been disclosed.
