Com2us Group's new subsidiary, Com2us With, announced on the 16th that it has received certification as a subsidiary-type standard workplace for the disabled from the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled. This orchestra-style certification is the first of its kind in the gaming industry.
A standard workplace for the disabled must meet the requirements set forth in the Enforcement Rules of the Act on Promotion of Employment and Vocational Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons. It must employ at least 10 disabled workers, with disabled employees making up at least 30% of the total regular workforce. Additionally, it must provide convenience facilities in accordance with relevant laws and pay wages above the legal minimum wage.
Com2us With was established in November last year by Com2us Holdings, Com2us, and Com2us Platform to fulfill their obligations to employ disabled persons and to create social value. It operates a wind orchestra composed of disabled artists and successfully held its first performance at the end of last year. Among the total 31 members, 25 are disabled musicians.
Jo Seong-wan, CEO of Com2us With, said, "The company was founded to discover and employ hidden gem disabled artists and to contribute to the cultural development of the local community." He added, "As a member of Com2us Group, we will continue to engage in various cultural sponsorship activities and exert a positive influence on raising awareness about disabilities and promoting local community culture."
