Prospective Entrepreneurs Aged 19 to 39 in Seoul Area and Early-Stage Startups Within 3 Years
Support Including Startup Education, Mentoring, Networking, Shared Workspaces... Applications Open Until March 2
Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) is recruiting participants for the first half of 2024 education program at the Youth Startup Support Center.
Guro-gu operates the Youth Startup Support Center in partnership with the Korea Venture Business Association to support the growth and leap of early-stage startup companies.
The first half education program is an accelerating program that promotes startups by young people with strong entrepreneurial will and high potential, driving the growth of seed companies into excellent enterprises. Among the 102 teams that participated in 2023, 67 teams started businesses, recording a startup rate of 65.7%.
The recruitment target is those aged 19 to 39, who are prospective entrepreneurs residing in Seoul or entrepreneurs who started a business within 3 years (after February 9, 2021) with a business location in Seoul.
Preference is given to residents and entrepreneurs located in Guro-gu and (prospective) entrepreneurs in IT and knowledge service business fields such as the 4th Industrial Revolution, information technology, Internet of Things, and cultural contents.
Selected participants will receive support including startup education, counseling, space support, networking, and domestic and international investment attraction.
Startup education is assigned according to the participant’s business progress, divided into a basic course for building a business model and writing a business plan, and an advanced course aimed at business advancement and investment attraction.
One-on-one intensive counseling with field experts is available, as well as free use of office spaces such as the Smart Incubator. After the program ends, participants can interact with senior, junior, and peer entrepreneurs through the ‘Venture Startup YOUNG CEO Network’ community.
Those wishing to apply must submit an online application through the district office website by March 2, and then complete and submit the required documents such as the participation application form via email.
For more detailed information on participation restrictions and preferences, contact the District Office Job Support Division or the Korea Venture Business Association, or check the district office website.
Selection results will be individually notified in March after document screening and face-to-face evaluation.
A Guro-gu official stated, “We recruit startup education and consulting such as tax and accounting special lectures and government-supported business plan completion on an ongoing basis,” and added, “We hope many prospective entrepreneurs who want to enhance their startup execution ability and grow into competitive companies will participate.”
