Participants engage in various activities twice a week for three hours each session to enhance memory and slow the progression of severe dementia.

The program consists of sessions that include working through a guidebook (workbook) designed to improve cognitive abilities, as well as crafts, horticulture, and art therapy.

The county plans to carefully monitor patients' changes by conducting ▲cognitive screening tests ▲geriatric depression scale assessments ▲subjective memory decline evaluations before and after participation in the program.

Transportation convenience is also provided for dementia patients. The county supports patients' comfortable travel to and from the center by utilizing the Dementia Safety Center vehicle and the 'Dementia Safety Taxi.'

A county official stated, "The shelter program will help restore daily life and alleviate dementia symptoms," adding, "We will do our best to ensure happiness for both patients and their families."
