Gyeongnam Nonghyup "Prepare for the New Semester with Learning Packages"

2670 School Bag Sets Delivered to Children of Farmers

On the 15th, Gyeongnam Nonghyup visited the office of the Superintendent of Gyeongnam Provincial Office of Education and delivered approximately 40 million KRW worth of 2,670 learning kits for elementary and middle school students who are children of low-income farmers in the Gyeongnam region.


Attending the delivery ceremony were Cho Geun-su, General Director of Gyeongnam Nonghyup, Cho Cheong-rae, Head of the Banking Division, Park Jong-hoon, Superintendent of Gyeongnam Provincial Office of Education, and Shin Seung-wook, Director of Educational Welfare Division.

Sponsored by the Nonghyup Foundation, the learning kits consist of a school bag, an auxiliary bag, and a string pouch. They will be primarily distributed to elementary and middle schools in rural areas within Gyeongnam at the start of the new semester.


Director Cho said, “I hope this helps reduce educational expenses for farming families in rural areas even a little,” and added, “Gyeongnam Nonghyup will continue to show interest and support to improve educational conditions in rural areas.”
