Netflix and France Cultural Tourism Cooperation Agreement
Campaign Launch and Joint Publication of Digital Travel Guidebook
The French Tourism Board announced on the 15th that it has signed an agreement to strengthen cooperation with Netflix in promoting French culture and tourism.
On the 14th, the French Tourism Board and Netflix held a signing ceremony and announced that they will jointly conduct a promotional campaign titled "France that Inspires Infinite Imagination."
The two organizations pursued the agreement to further enhance the appeal of France. Taking this opportunity, they plan to launch a French promotional campaign and provide a digital travel guidebook for viewers who watch Netflix movies and dramas and wish to travel to France.
The digital travel guidebook is available on the Netflix France website and offers 12 themed routes based on an interactive map, customized guide services, and a list of over 70 popular filming locations from movies and dramas.
France is one of the frequent settings for Netflix-produced content. Titles such as "Emily in Paris," "Lupin," "The Missing Bullet," "Murder Mystery," "Miraculous," and "School Life" have newly imprinted France in the minds of global audiences.
According to a recent survey by research firm Basis, one out of every two viewers who watched Netflix content related to France developed a more positive image of the country. 63% of respondents expressed a desire to visit French cultural heritage sites, 61% wished to experience gourmet travel, and 58% wanted to visit French locations featured in the videos.
Caroline Leboucher, head of the French Tourism Board, stated, "We will provide tourists with travel guides and interactive maps to offer information not only about tourist attractions and filming locations featured in Netflix movies and dramas but also about relatively lesser-known spots."
