Anyang-si Conducts Safety Inspections at 10 Construction Sites During Thawing Period Until the 23rd

Anyang-si Conducts Safety Inspections at 10 Construction Sites During Thawing Period Until the 23rd Mayor Choi Dae-ho of Anyang City is inspecting safety management and other aspects at a construction site on the 14th.

Anyang City in Gyeonggi Province will conduct safety inspections of construction sites to prevent accidents during the thawing season until the 23rd.

The thawing season requires special caution as the ground, which was frozen during winter, repeatedly melts and weakens, potentially causing collapse accidents.

Anyang City has formed an inspection team consisting of architects and engineers from the Regional Building Safety Center, as well as related public officials, to inspect 10 construction sites in the area where earth retaining, excavation, and framework work are underway.

The main inspection items include ▲the condition of the ground at underground excavation sites ▲management status of hazardous facilities such as earth retaining walls and retaining walls within construction sites ▲and the on-site management status around the construction sites.

On the 14th, Mayor Choi Dae-ho visited the inspection team and the construction site in Manan-gu (Anyang-dong 676-6) to check the on-site safety management status.

Mayor Choi emphasized, "We must eliminate risk factors at construction sites in advance to ensure the safety of citizens and workers," adding, "We will continue to prioritize citizens' safety and thoroughly manage various facilities within the city."

In 2020, Anyang City established the Regional Building Safety Center to verify and review technical matters in building and structural areas requiring expertise and to efficiently manage and supervise construction sites.
