Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 15th that it will recruit participants for the ‘2024 Jeonbuk-type Youth Vitality Allowance Support Project’ by the 12th of next month to help unemployed youth in the area focus on job-seeking activities.
A total of 40 people will be recruited, and anyone aged 18 to 39 who resides in the area as of the announcement date and whose household income is below 150% of the median income can apply.
The final selected youth will receive an allowance of 500,000 KRW per month for six months, totaling 3 million KRW, and will also receive professional job-seeking competency enhancement training.
The allowance will be provided in the form of points linked to a check card. It can be used not only for purchasing textbooks and books necessary for job preparation and entrepreneurship, and interview activity expenses, but also for expenses required for social activities (meals, transportation, etc.).
Applicants can apply online and upload documents through the Jeonbuk-type Youth Vitality Allowance website or the Jeonbuk Youth Hub Center.
Yoon Hyo-geun, head of the Youth Startup Team in Gochang-gun, said, “We will do our best to reduce the economic burden on unemployed youth so that they can fully concentrate on job seeking and entrepreneurship,” and added, “We hope for active participation and interest from young people preparing to take their first step into society.”
