Neowiz Reports 365.6 Billion KRW in Revenue Last Year... Aiming to Secure Global Fandom

Neowiz Reports 365.6 Billion KRW in Revenue Last Year... Aiming to Secure Global Fandom

Neowiz announced on the 14th that its sales last year increased by 24% compared to the previous year to 365.6 billion KRW, and operating profit rose by 62% to 31.7 billion KRW. Net profit surged 252% to 46.5 billion KRW.

Sales in the fourth quarter of last year increased by 51% year-on-year to 109.5 billion KRW, and operating profit turned positive to record 15.1 billion KRW. Net profit also turned positive, reaching 2.8 billion KRW.

In the fourth quarter, sales in the PC and console game segment rose 97% year-on-year to 61.3 billion KRW. The performance of 'P-ui Geojit' (The Falsehood of P), released in September last year, contributed to the growth in fourth-quarter sales. The official releases of 'Sannabi' on Steam and Nintendo Switch platforms in November last year, the strong performance of 'Skull' which surpassed 2 million cumulative global sales, and the 'Steam Winter Sale' event featuring 'DJMax Respect V' also contributed to the increase in sales.

Sales in the mobile game segment rose 12% year-on-year to 36.1 billion KRW. 'Brown Dust 2' showed improved user metrics following its half-year anniversary update in December last year. Neowiz plans to focus on service improvements by actively communicating with domestic and global users through live broadcasts and other means. The healing idle game 'Goyang-iwa Seupeu' (Cat and Soup) received a foreign investment license in China in February and aims for release within the first half of the year. Additionally, 'Geumsaeg-ui Gatsyubel!! Yeongwonhan Inyeon-ui Chingudeul' (Golden Gash Bell!! Friends of Eternal Bonds), released last month in Japan, is also expected to expand revenue.

Other sales increased by 30% year-on-year to 12.1 billion KRW due to increased advertising revenue from the subsidiary TNK Factory.

Neowiz has set securing a global fandom for its intellectual property (IP) as a mid- to long-term business goal and plans to focus on this. Since 'P-ui Geojit' has maintained steady sales since its release, the company plans to launch a story expansion DLC (downloadable content) this year while concentrating on developing its next title. The mobile 3-match puzzle game 'Oh My Anne,' a reinterpretation of the Canadian novel 'Anne of Green Gables,' is scheduled for official release within the first half of the year. Series works utilizing the 'Goyang-iwa Seupeu' IP will continue to be introduced. This game has surpassed 55 million cumulative downloads, with over 90% of its players being overseas users, indicating strong global potential. Two new titles using the 'Goyang-iwa Seupeu' IP are planned for release this year.

Furthermore, the subsidiary Pow Games is focusing on enhancing the completeness of 'The Legend of Heroes: Gagharv Trilogy,' a collectible RPG developed using Japanese IP, ahead of its release this year. In addition, Neowiz is preparing to launch sports genre titles such as 'Pro Soccer: Legend Eleven' this year.
