On this day, Lee Jun-seung, Deputy Mayor of Busan, Kim Taek-su, Secretary General of the Organizing Committee, and others are scheduled to carry out the on-site inspection.

Following the inspection, they will encourage the Organizing Committee and related personnel who have worked hard in preparing for the event over a long period and also emphasize the importance of ensuring safety until the very end of the preparations.

The Table Tennis Championships will be held at BEXCO from the 16th to the 25th, with about 2,000 players from a total of 47 countries participating.

As it is expected that more than 10,000 domestic and international spectators will visit the venue daily during the event, Busan City will thoroughly review safety management measures and devote full efforts to ensuring safety.

Additionally, since foreign nationals including athletes from various countries are expected to enter the city, the city will respond meticulously to infectious disease management such as measles and norovirus. Personal hygiene guidelines for preventing infectious diseases will be actively provided to event staff, and individuals showing suspected symptoms of infectious diseases will be monitored daily through the medical office operating within the venue.

Deputy Mayor Lee said, “Safety can never be overemphasized,” adding, “We will focus on safety management until the moment this event concludes, and by successfully and safely hosting the Busan World Table Tennis Championships, we will promote Busan as a 'city where people want to live again, a global hub city' to the world.”
