Recognized for Excellence in Education and Management of International Students
Gyeongnam National University recently achieved the remarkable feat of being selected as an 'Internationalization Certification University' by the Ministry of Education for nine consecutive years.
Since obtaining the 'Internationalization Competency Certification' in 2017, Gyeongnam National University has been nationally recognized for its outstanding internationalization capabilities.
The Internationalization Competency Certification system is an evaluation conducted for universities to certify those with high internationalization capabilities, aiming to expand the attraction of excellent foreign students and enhance the internationalization competencies of domestic students.
Here, Gyeongnam National University was selected as an Internationalization Certification University for both degree programs and language training courses, receiving various international education benefits such as the 'simplified visa issuance for foreign students.'
Currently, Gyeongnam National University not only provides various customized programs for the successful university life of foreign students but also operates a systematic foreign student management system. In addition, in response to the government's foreign student attraction policy, it plans and implements programs where domestic and foreign students can coexist, realizing a global campus.
Hong Seon-yeong, Director of the International Office, said, "This is the result of all members' efforts toward substantial foreign student education and campus globalization," adding, "Under the vision of 'Creating Future Value through a Global Win-Win Network,' Gyeongnam National University will do its best to build diverse educational infrastructure, attract excellent foreign students, and strengthen internationalization competency education."
She added, "It is also expected that Gyeongnam National University's attraction of foreign students will contribute to the revitalization of the local community."
