Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun Visits Fire and Police Stations During Lunar New Year Holiday to Offer Encouragement

Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun is visiting Suwon Nambu Fire Station on the 10th to encourage firefighters.

Lee Jae-jun, the mayor of Suwon, made consecutive visits to encourage the fire station and police station during the Lunar New Year holiday.

On the 10th, the day of Seollal, Mayor Lee visited Suwon Nambu Fire Station, Suwon Nambu Police Station Ingye District Unit, Suwon City Integrated Urban Safety Center, and Suwon City Yeonhwajang to encourage the workers on duty.

Through his social media service (SNS) that day, Mayor Lee expressed his gratitude, saying, "It was hard to tell whether it was Seollal or a weekday as the firefighters and police officers were steadfastly on duty," and added, "The Yeonhwajang staff, who are busiest during the holiday, and the staff at the Integrated Urban Safety Center who monitor crime prevention and traffic CCTVs across the city 24 hours a day, were busily working for the convenience of mourners and to prepare for any possible emergencies."

He continued, "There are many people sweating during Seollal to protect the daily lives of citizens that cannot stop even for a moment," and added, "Although I could not visit everyone individually, including public transportation workers, emergency medical institutions, water supply repair companies, free meal centers, and our public officials working 24-hour shifts, my gratitude is the same."

He then expressed his hope, saying, "I hope that in the new year of Gapjin, all citizens receive double the blessings."
