Taiwan Opposition Party: "Such Behavior by Married Individuals Is a Serious Scandal"
A senior official of Taiwan's National Security Bureau has caused a stir after a video surfaced showing him forcibly kissing a woman while intoxicated.
According to Taiwan's Liberty Times on the 7th, a video leaked showing National Security Bureau Director Xie Jinghua forcibly kissing a young woman while drunk.

The video tipster revealed that Xie Jinghua grabbed the cheek and neck of a woman in her 20s (estimated), wearing a mask on the street at night, and forcibly kissed her. Xie squatted down and attempted to kiss the woman.
In the video, Director Xie appears intoxicated, squatting near a crosswalk. In front of him was a woman wearing a mask, and during their conversation, Xie suddenly leaned his face toward her. When the woman turned her head to avoid him, he grabbed her neck and pressed his lips to her cheek, then lowered her mask and kissed her.
The video rapidly spread, escalating the controversy, and Chai Mingyan, commander of the Special Mission Center to which Xie belongs, immediately launched an investigation.
Local media such as Taiwan's China Times reported in unison, "It was revealed that the woman forcibly kissed by the married Xie Jinghua was not his wife, causing the National Security Bureau to be thrown into turmoil."

Opposition Kuomintang spokesperson Xu Qiaoxin stated, "Such behavior by a married intelligence official is a serious scandal," and criticized, "Authorities should clarify whether the victim is a public official in another department within the National Security Bureau and how they will punish Xie if he abused his power to harass a female official."
This is not the first time Xie Jinghua's conduct has sparked controversy. It was recently revealed that before his promotion to director in 2020, he failed a physical fitness test but falsified the results. Additionally, he failed to complete a 3km run within the required time that year. He then chose an alternative event, a 5km walk, but failed to finish within the passing time of 45 minutes, so the results were manipulated to show 44 minutes and 48 seconds. His actual completion time was 47 minutes and 23 seconds.
