Yeongyang-gun Agricultural Products Processing Support Center Accelerates Activation of Non-Agricultural Income

Wet Product Development and Production Support, Expecting Product Diversification

Yeongyang-gun Agricultural Products Processing Support Center Accelerates Activation of Non-Agricultural Income Yeongyang-gun Agricultural Products Processing Support Center, dedicated to increasing farmers' off-farm income through processing support for agricultural product startup businesses and enhancing the added value of agricultural products.

The Agricultural Product Processing Support Center expanded its wet product development room through the 2022-2023 Agricultural Product Product Development Infrastructure Project and is currently focusing on the development and production support of wet processed products. Through product manufacturing reports for liquid tea and jams, three types of jam products (apple jam, carrot jam, and blueberry jam) were produced for the first time this year.

This production uses agricultural products directly cultivated by farmers in Yeongyang-gun, raising great expectations for increasing farmers' off-farm income through the sale of processed products beyond simple agricultural product sales.

Jomiae Cho (CEO of Yeongyangga), who directly processed the jams (Yeongyangga apple jam, carrot jam, blueberry jam), said, “It was difficult for farmers to prepare for agricultural product processing due to high costs and permit procedures, but the one-year preparation process for startup preparation, product development, and production support using the Agricultural Product Processing Support Center was a great help.”

Yongwan Cho, director of the Agricultural Technology Center, said, “We will continue to do our best to foster processing startup farms and increase off-farm income by supporting various developments and safe and systematic processing facilities.”
