Neptune Reports 99.7 Billion KRW Revenue Last Year... Synergy Strategy Between Mobile Games and Advertising Platform

Neptune announced on the 7th that it recorded consolidated sales of 99.7 billion KRW and an operating profit of 2.15 billion KRW last year.


Consolidated sales last year increased by 239% compared to the previous year, and operating profit turned positive for the first time since listing. Consolidated sales and operating profit in the fourth quarter also increased by 32% and 1700%, respectively, compared to the previous quarter.


Last year, consolidated total game business sales reached 81.2 billion KRW, up 213% year-on-year, and advertising platform business sales, including other revenues, achieved 18.5 billion KRW, a 15% increase compared to the previous year.


Neptune is expanding its casual and mid-core mobile game development studios through investments and acquisitions, while pursuing a strategy to maximize synergy between the two business areas by strengthening its advertising platform business.


Mobile games such as "Ururu Yongbyeongdan," "Goyang-i Snack Bar," and "Infinite Staircase" recorded cumulative sales of 59 billion KRW last year, exceeding 70% of Neptune's total game sales. In the advertising platform business, AdX, AdPie, and the Remake business unit achieved a total advertising transaction amount of 70 billion KRW and sales of 18.5 billion KRW, recording an operating profit margin of over 50%.


Yoo Tae-woong, co-CEO of Neptune, said, "The synergy between the advertising platform business and the game business enabled performance improvement," adding, "We will continue to do our best to release content and services that can achieve results in the global market."


Kang Yul-bin, co-CEO of Neptune, said, "The seven internal development studios and subsidiaries with successful experience will not only solidify existing game traffic but also strengthen internal verification processes to increase the success rate of new games," adding, "To achieve sustainable sales and operating profit growth, we will reorganize around business units that contribute to survival and growth, and invest efficient resources to build a performance-oriented organizational culture."
