On the 5th, Lee Seung-gi's agency Human Made and Lee Da-in's agency Nineato Entertainment announced the couple's news of having a daughter in the afternoon. It has been 10 months since their marriage.

Previously, Lee Seung-gi and Lee Da-in, who confirmed their relationship in May 2021, tied the knot in April last year. Later, in November of last year, they announced Lee Da-in's pregnancy. At that time, Lee Seung-gi's side stated, "We are currently waiting for the new life to be born next year with cautious yet grateful hearts," and asked for "warm blessings and support."

At their wedding, Lee Da-in wore a loose-fitting wedding dress and low-heeled shoes, which sparked pregnancy rumors. However, their agencies strongly denied the premarital pregnancy rumors at the time.

Meanwhile, Lee Seung-gi's past remarks as a "daughter fool" have also drawn attention in relation to the birth. In September 2019, Lee Seung-gi appeared on SBS's "Little Forest" and showed his affection for daughters. When broadcaster Park Na-rae asked, "Why did you make the songpyeon so well? Did you really make it?" Lee Seung-gi replied, "I made the songpyeon pretty well. Isn't there something good about making songpyeon well?" When Park Na-rae mentioned the superstition that making pretty songpyeon means having a pretty daughter, Lee Seo-jin jokingly said, "You said you would have a son." Lee Seung-gi then said with a smile, "I will have a daughter."

Lee Seung-gi increased his recognition as the host of JTBC's "Sing Again 3," which ended last month, and is set to return to the big screen with the movie "Big Family" (directed by Yang Woo-seok). Lee Da-in excellently portrayed the role of Gyeong Eun-ae in the 2023 MBC historical drama "Lovers."
