Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is promoting the ‘2024 Lunar New Year Shopping and Onnuri Gift Certificate Refund Event.’

This event was prepared to revitalize traditional markets and stimulate consumption in celebration of the Lunar New Year.

In particular, the shopping event is being conducted simultaneously with the Onnuri Gift Certificate refund event to boost the vitality of merchants struggling due to the economic downturn. The shopping event started at Deoksan Market on the 4th and will be held at Danseong Market, Sanencheong Masil Market, and Sancheong Market until the 6th.

Sancheong-gun, Traditional Market Onnuri Gift Certificate Refund Event Before Seol Holiday County Governor Lee Seunghwa is participating in the Deoksan Market shopping event.

County Governor Lee Seunghwa plans to participate in the shopping event from the 4th to the 6th, visiting merchants directly to offer encouragement and communicate. In addition, Jeong Myeongsun, Chairperson of the Sancheong County Council, county council members, senior officials, representatives from each eup and myeon, the Nonghyup Sancheong branch, market merchant associations, and related organizations will also participate to purchase seasonal and daily necessities.

The Onnuri Gift Certificate refund event is open to all consumers who use the markets and stores, regardless of business type, including restaurants, beauty salons, and retail businesses. Consumers who submit receipts totaling 50,000 KRW or more on the same day will receive a 5,000 KRW Onnuri Gift Certificate in return.

Refunds are available up to 30,000 KRW per person per day (when submitting receipts totaling 300,000 KRW or more). However, purchases made at Nonghyup and large supermarkets, as well as simplified receipts, are not accepted. Therefore, consumers must use stores that can issue receipts such as credit card, cash receipt, or Zero Pay affiliated stores.

The gift certificate exchange locations are ‘Haebom Jangteo’ at Sancheong Market, ‘Deoksan Electric Works’ at Deoksan Market, and ‘Danseong Hardware’ at Danseong Market. After verifying the purchase receipts on the same day, the certificates will be issued (the refund event will end once the gift certificates are exhausted).

Governor Lee said, “I hope this warm holiday season will allow residents struggling with rising prices to visit traditional markets, purchase high-quality products at affordable prices, and support merchants. We will also strive to ensure thorough quarantine and safety management so that both residents and merchants can use traditional markets with peace of mind.”
