A Total Investment of 1 Billion Won, Providing Services to Over 1,000 People Across 12 Fields
Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Noh Gwan-gyu) announced that it has been providing the ‘2024 Community Service Investment Project’ services since the 1st of this month.
The Community Service Investment Project is a program that provides customized vouchers to citizens in need across all generations, supporting social services such as psychological counseling, healing, and capacity development.
This year, the total budget is 1 billion KRW, and it is expected that about 1,000 citizens including infants, youth and adults, seniors, and people with disabilities will benefit from customized social services offered by 31 service providers.
The service areas include ▲infant and toddler development support ▲child and adolescent psychological support ▲child and adolescent emotional development support ▲child health management for lifelong health ▲integrated case management for socially isolated families ▲Namdo Sound Namdo Children ▲customized exercise prescription for seniors ▲aqua (water) exercise programs for prevention and management of chronic diseases ▲assistive device rental for people with disabilities ▲massage for the visually impaired ▲daily life support ▲and 12 services including ‘rural experience and mental stability’ services utilizing Jeollanam-do’s healing resources.
The eligibility criterion is generally set at 140% or below of the median income, but income and age criteria vary depending on the characteristics of each service.
Those who wish to receive customized social services can apply in person at their local eup, myeon, or dong administrative welfare center with identification and other required documents.
A city official stated, “The Community Service Investment Project not only provides customized social services to citizens but also creates local jobs. We will actively promote the services so that many citizens can benefit from them.”
