Through this agreement, both companies will share their technological capabilities, infrastructure, and experience. They plan to jointly develop multi-cloud services utilizing HyperCLOVA X technology, collaborate on customized large language model (LLM) projects for the public and education sectors, and expand and support the market for jointly developed services.
Since launching HyperCLOVA X in August last year, Naver Cloud has formed partnerships with companies across various sectors including finance, distribution, public services, and healthcare. Through collaboration with NHN Cloud, Naver Cloud plans to build an AI platform centered on HyperCLOVA X, while NHN Cloud will provide its ultra-high-performance infrastructure.
Kim Yuwon, CEO of Naver Cloud, stated, "Recently, the term 'AI nationalism era' has emerged as competition among countries for leadership in the AI industry intensifies," adding, "We will do our best to expand the domestic AI ecosystem by strengthening industry solidarity centered on Korea's representative AI, HyperCLOVA X."
Kim Donghoon, CEO of NHN Cloud, said, "This agreement was made based on a blueprint to develop AI applicable at the national level, such as administrative services and social infrastructure," and added, "NHN Cloud will continue to contribute to strengthening national AI capabilities by cooperating with AI service companies through its powerful AI infrastructure capabilities."
