Andeokgeun: "Expecting Fresh Ideas and Vivid Field Voices to Reflect in Policy"

The 'Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy 2030 Advisory Group' has been launched to actively incorporate the voices of young people in the process of establishing industrial, trade, and energy policies.

On the 5th, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced that it held the inauguration ceremony for the 2030 Advisory Group at the Government Sejong Complex and will officially operate the 'Reform Task Force (T/F)'.

To actively include the opinions of young people in the major policy formulation and implementation processes, the ministry appointed a youth advisor (Park Daehan, 28 years old) last December. Additionally, through a public recruitment, 20 members of the 2030 Advisory Group were selected, consisting of individuals with diverse careers and experiences, including employees of private companies, public institutions, and students.

The inauguration ceremony was held to formalize the launch of the Ministry’s 2030 Advisory Group and to discuss future operational plans for the advisory group. At the ceremony, Minister Ahn Deok-geun stated, "Ministry policies may seem large and heavy at first glance, but upon closer look, many parts are closely connected to young people’s workplaces and daily lives." He added, "We expect even greater achievements in areas where the younger generation is directly involved and familiar, such as nurturing young talent in advanced industries and industrial innovation using artificial intelligence."

Going forward, the advisory group will convey young generations’ perceptions of major policies promoted by the ministry and ideas for improvement to expand outcomes. They will also participate in the formulation process of new policies, projects, and laws, providing diverse ideas from the youth perspective.

Minister Ahn said, "To swiftly implement policies centered on livelihoods and the field, we are internally operating a reform T/F," and added, "I ask the 2030 Advisory Group to collaborate with the reform T/F to provide fresh ideas and vivid voices from the field."
