Saltlux-Finger, Advancing Generative AI Development for the Financial Sector

Artificial intelligence (AI) company Saltlux announced on the 5th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for strategic business partnership with fintech company Finger.


The signing ceremony held at Finger's headquarters on the 2nd was attended by Saltlux CEO Lee Kyung-il, Finger CEO Ahn In-joo, and key officials from both companies. They agreed to secure potential business opportunities based on close exchanges and realize them to create mutual benefits.


Combining the accumulated technology and know-how in AI and fintech fields, they will jointly develop generative AI for the financial sector. For this project, Saltlux's large language model (LLM) 'LUXIA' and related software, as well as Finger's financial platform and enterprise solutions, will be utilized in various ways. They also plan to discover new business models and cooperate in sales and marketing activities to generate diverse synergies.


Saltlux is a leading AI company holding the largest number of AI and big data technology patents. It announced Korea's first LLM, LUXIA, and successfully carried out the first case of LLM adoption for public institutions by building the Seoul Metro safety ChatGPT project. Recently, it acquired Daikuest to secure the largest domestic group status in natural language processing and AI fields. It has over 2,000 corporate and institutional clients including Samsung Electronics, KT, NH Nonghyup Bank, Korea Investment & Securities, Constitutional Court, and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency.


Finger is a comprehensive fintech company that supplies smart financial platforms to primary and secondary financial sectors and numerous financial institutions, and is developing new businesses related to digital assets such as non-fungible tokens (NFT) and security tokens (STO). It owns proprietary solutions including BIG, Orchestra, and F-Chain. It has also entered the enterprise service market by launching 'Pharos,' a business ware for small and medium-sized enterprises.


A Saltlux official said, "We are focusing on securing key partners to rapidly commercialize generative AI in various fields," adding, "We are pleased to cooperate with Finger, which has outstanding competitiveness and infrastructure in the fintech industry." He further stated, "Through customized generative AI development, we will quickly expand LUXIA's influence within the financial sector," and "Moreover, we will contribute to the innovation of the domestic financial industry."
