[Click eStock] "KSP, Performance Improvement Expected with Expansion Investment"

Research Alume forecasted on the 5th that KSP's operating profit will increase significantly.


Researcher Lee Seung-hwan of Research Alume explained, "KSP is estimated to achieve sales of 113.5 billion KRW and an operating profit of 22 billion KRW this year," adding, "which represents an increase of 39.1% and 86.5%, respectively, compared to last year."


He continued, "The order backlog at the end of the third quarter last year was 57.9 billion KRW," and added, "the increase in production volume due to expanded production capacity will begin to be reflected."


Researcher Lee stated, "They decided to accelerate facility investment by raising about 10 billion KRW through a rights offering," analyzing, "in a situation where the shipbuilding industry is overcoming a long recession and the eco-friendly ship order rally continues, they plan to expand production capacity to increase market share."


He emphasized, "The factory operating rate has been continuously rising," noting, "it increased from 65.57% in 2020 to 89.67% in the third quarter of last year."


KSP is a company that produces engine valves and forged parts for ships. It holds the number one market share in the ship engine valve market with its friction pressure welding method and special forging facilities.
