Operating a Comprehensive Situation Room and Functional Task Forces During the Holiday Period

Seoul Eunpyeong-gu (District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced that it held a comprehensive countermeasure meeting on the 2nd in preparation for the Lunar New Year holiday.

This meeting was organized to prevent accidents during the Lunar New Year period and to proactively resolve residents' inconveniences. Through the meeting, the district established measures in six major areas including safety, welfare, cleaning, and transportation. Separate functional task forces for transportation, disasters, cleaning, and medical care are also being operated.

In preparation for the Lunar New Year holiday, the district reviewed ▲safety accident prevention management ▲support for marginalized neighbors ▲emergency cleaning and medical treatment systems ▲traffic complaints ▲supply and price management of essential goods ▲and establishment of public service discipline.

The district will operate a comprehensive situation room 24 hours a day during the holiday period to prevent any administrative gaps. It plans to share kindness through visits and encouragement to vulnerable groups, and establish an emergency medical treatment system for emergency patients occurring during the holiday to minimize medical service gaps.

On the 7th, District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung will visit traditional markets with young adults preparing for independence and the merchants' association to check prices and personally encourage the merchants in celebration of the Lunar New Year.

Administrative services needed during the Lunar New Year holiday will be announced through the Eunpyeong-gu website, AlimTalk, blog, and Instagram.

District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung said, “I will do my best to ensure that the Lunar New Year holiday, a time for the whole family to be together, can be a comfortable time for recharging by perfectly preventing safety accidents and resolving inconveniences.”
