From the 2nd to the 23rd, Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province will conduct a demand survey targeting local farmers for the development of customized processed products. This survey aims to materialize farmers' ideas for processed goods and develop necessary technologies to support startup activities.
The survey targets include agricultural product processing startup incubation trainees, members of the Icheon Agricultural Product Processing Research Association, and small-scale agricultural product processing businesses within the city. Through this year's demand survey, the city plans to investigate consumer responses via sensory evaluations using specialized panels segmented by age groups, and develop and produce products with high market competitiveness.

Previously, through this project last year, the city selected 'Icheon Five-Color Rice Steamed Bread,' 'Balloon Flower Root Jeonggwa Byproduct Utilization Beverage,' and 'Icheon Rice Granola' as development items. The city explained that after product planning, technology development, and commercialization, these products are currently about to be launched.
Those wishing to apply for support can fill out the application form on the Icheon Agricultural Technology Center website announcement and submit it to the Agricultural Product Processing Team of the Research and Development Division at the Icheon Agricultural Technology Center.
Kim Hee-kyung, head of the Research and Development Division at the Icheon Agricultural Technology Center, said, "By working closely with farmers who produce and sell products, we can maximize the effectiveness of the project," adding, "We will spare no support to create high added value in Icheon agriculture and develop representative local agricultural processed products."
