Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, Visits District Office Plaza's Lunar New Year Agricultural and Specialty Products Direct Market

On the afternoon of the 1st, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited the Lunar New Year direct transaction market for agricultural and specialty products held in front of the Mapo District Office to celebrate the representative national holiday, Seol.

This direct transaction market included participation from Mapo District’s sister cities: Gochang-gun in Jeonbuk, Yecheon-gun in Gyeongbuk, Sinan-gun in Jeonnam, Cheongyang-gun in Chungnam, Namhae-gun in Gyeongnam, and Ongjin-gun in Incheon.

In addition, Gokseong-gun in Jeonnam, Imsil-gun in Jeonbuk, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Office, Goesan-gun in Chungbuk, and Sangju-si in Gyeongbuk also took part.

Furthermore, the Mapo District Volunteer Center held a bazaar selling various foods and products made by knitting.

On this day, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, inspected the high-quality agricultural and specialty products and ceremonial items at the direct transaction market and expressed his gratitude and encouragement to the merchants and Mapo volunteers.

Mayor Park Gang-su said, “In these difficult times of high inflation and high interest rates, I hope everyone prepares a warm and heartfelt Seol by purchasing quality products at affordable prices at the direct transaction market,” and added, “I sincerely thank the merchants who prepared excellent agricultural and specialty products for the residents of Mapo District.”
