DifferAI Signs Agreement with IntuSky for 'AI Semiconductor' Drone Application

Specialized Development, Manufacturing, and Sales of Commercial Drones
Cumulative Sales Exceed 2,500 Units
Extensive Collaboration Including Demonstration Project Support

Differ AI, an AI fabless (semiconductor design) specialized company, is diversifying its business area by applying its self-developed AI semiconductor to the drone sector. On the 1st, Differ AI announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with drone manufacturing specialist company ‘IntoSky’ to utilize domestic AI semiconductors and promote the convergence of drones and robots.

The main point of this MOU is to prioritize the application of Differ AI’s self-developed AI semiconductor to IntoSky’s drones. To this end, both companies plan to collaborate on ▲advancing low-power edge-type autonomous driving technology for drones ▲developing drone object recognition and tracking technology △developing and commercializing drone products applying the developed technologies.

IntoSky specializes in developing, manufacturing, and selling commercial drones that can be used in various fields such as agriculture, firefighting, construction, and education. It possesses drone-specialized manufacturing process technology based on the Aerospace Management System (AS9100). IntoSky’s cumulative drone sales exceed 2,500 units.

In addition to product development, Differ AI plans to continuously expand collaboration with IntoSky in broader areas, including jointly applying for various demonstration project tasks such as the Ministry of Science and ICT’s AI demonstration project. Furthermore, both companies intend to work hard to expand the domestic drone ecosystem by commercializing educational drones and hosting drone competitions.

A Differ AI official said, “This MOU was signed not only to develop and supply AI semiconductor chips for drones but also to create business synergy through close collaboration between the two companies. Through this, Differ AI will diversify its business area into the drone sector, a key future growth industry, and contribute to the development of the domestic drone industry.”

Differ AI began full-scale mass production of its self-developed edge AI semiconductor ‘Tachy-BS402’ at the end of last year. A major feature of this product is the application of ‘chip-to-chip communication’ technology, which offers high performance with low power consumption.
