He then visited the Multicultural Family Support Center, where he held an on-site meeting with multicultural spouses and children.

The participants expressed gratitude for the expanding policies supporting multicultural families, but also mentioned that due to language and cultural reasons, children still face difficulties settling as members of Korean society, emphasizing the need for continuous government support.

Vice Minister Kim empathized with the difficulties faced by multicultural families and introduced that various education and employment support projects have been reflected in this year’s budget, including the establishment of education activity expenses, specialized vocational training and employment support projects, and doubling the university student mentoring program to help multicultural children grow as members of our society.
