[Special Stock] Infinite Health, Rediscovered as No.1 in Core PACS for Non-Face-to-Face Medical Care... Value-Up with AI

Infinite Healthcare, the leading company in the medical image storage and transmission system (PACS) market, is showing strong performance. The news that the government is actively promoting telemedicine to enable all citizens to access medical services anytime and anywhere appears to be influencing the stock price.

As of 10:03 AM on the 1st, Infinite Healthcare was trading at 5,960 KRW, up 730 KRW (13.96%) compared to the previous trading day.

The government announced that telemedicine will be transitioned to a full-scale business within the year and warned that refusing to dispense medication due to telemedicine is a violation of the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act. It also stated plans to expand the exchange of medical information and MyData to promote the utilization of health information led by individuals.

Infinite Healthcare is the number one company in the domestic PACS market. It was the first in Korea to launch a solution that integrates a medical data integrated platform (VNA) with artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The company is developing next-generation solutions that support medical institutions in using this data to provide AI diagnostics and personalized patient care.

According to its quarterly report, Infinite Healthcare maintains an incomparable gap with competitors in terms of research and development (R&D) scale, resulting technological capabilities, and service aspects. It has held the number one market share in the domestic PACS market for a long time. Based on the status of hospitals registered with the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service, it holds an overwhelming market share of 75% in tertiary general hospitals and 70% in general hospitals.

Since starting exports to the United States in 2000, all products developed thereafter have successfully obtained FDA and CE certifications. For products currently under development, the company applies systematic quality management methodologies during planning and development stages to prepare for certification, ensuring no issues arise in obtaining future approvals.

The need for medical image storage and transmission systems (PACS) to utilize big data based on medical imaging is increasing, especially in tertiary general hospitals. This is why expectations are growing that Infinite Healthcare will benefit. PACS is a system that stores, manages, and transmits medical images generated in hospitals. It digitizes images acquired from medical devices such as X-rays according to international standards (DICOM, HL7, IHE, etc.) and stores them on servers, replacing traditional film. This reduces cost burdens and allows medical staff to conveniently view and interpret medical images via PCs or mobile devices.

Researcher Kim Jaemu from ResearchAlum said, "Infinite Healthcare has launched PACS products specialized for Radiology, Cardiology, Orthopedic, and Dentistry," adding, "It also includes technology to implement three-dimensional medical imaging enabled by advances in CT technology."

He continued, "The company possesses its own AI solutions," and "there is also potential for collaboration with various AI diagnostic solution companies."

He explained, "The Doctor Answer development project is a consortium-led initiative by the Ministry of Science and ICT and NIPA to develop AI-based precision medical solutions, involving 30 hospitals including Bundang Seoul National University Hospital and Samsung Seoul Hospital, as well as 19 ICT companies such as Lunit and Infinite Healthcare." He added, "Following the successful Doctor Answer 1.0, Infinite Healthcare participated in Doctor Answer 2.0, leading AI diagnostic software development," emphasizing, "Integrating AI diagnostic solutions into Infinite Healthcare’s platform to provide efficient diagnostic workflows will serve as a core competitive advantage."
