Online video service (OTT) Netflix announced on the 1st that it will release the movie "Rogiwon," starring actor Song Joong-ki, on March 1st.
"Rogiwon" is a film depicting the story of a North Korean defector, Gi-wan, who arrives in Belgium with his last hope in life, and a woman named Marie, who has lost her reason to live, as they are drawn to each other. Song Joong-ki plays Gi-wan, the defector who travels alone to Belgium. He endures harsh cold and hunger in an unfamiliar place, striving to be recognized as a refugee, his last hope. Choi Sung-eun portrays Marie, who wanders aimlessly after losing her reason to live.
The film portrays the turbulent journey of Gi-wan, who had to leave for an unfamiliar place to survive, and through the encounter between Gi-wan, who wants to live, and Marie, who thinks she has no reason to live, it depicts a warm perspective of those pushed to the extreme embracing each other.
