'Jangsaui Sin' Cafe Post Views and Comments Increase
"Will Reward Interested Parties in Desired Form"
Eun Hyeon-jang (40), known as 'Jangsa-ui Sin,' a business content YouTuber with 1.28 million subscribers, recently provided additional clarifications regarding a series of controversies. In particular, he explained some allegations that he manipulated the view counts on the Naver Cafe he operated by stating that it was due to using a crawling system (an automated process of collecting information from web pages).
On the morning of the 1st, Eun posted on his YouTube channel, saying, "Since announcing my YouTube hiatus, I have been gathering evidence about many things that people are curious about regarding my past," and added, "It has been difficult to simultaneously collect evidence and film, so I decided to pause YouTube operations and will return once everything is settled."
He addressed the recent controversy surrounding the Naver Cafe. Previously, some netizens raised suspicions that he manipulated the view counts of posts on the Jangsa-ui Sin Cafe using a program. In response, Eun explained, "The computer screen shown in my vlog video was crawling the number of comments on posts written by cafe members," and added, "This system was intended to reward members based on that aggregation."
However, he apologized regarding the management of the Naver Cafe, saying, "I tried many things to activate the cafe, and through an introduction from an acquaintance, I learned about an automatic cafe management program," and described it as "a program that automatically posts comments and increases view counts."
He continued, "Since it was a program developed by a developer commissioned through a certified expert platform, I thought there would be no major issues," and admitted, "I increased the view counts by 10 to 15, and sometimes by several hundred, on advertisement posts or essays carefully written by members. Knowing it could be problematic, I stopped using it."
He bowed his head and said, "I communicate with advertisers entirely through group chats, so I will compensate those who want it in the form they desire," and added, "I acknowledge and sincerely apologize for this part, which I did unknowingly and am no longer doing."
Eun is a YouTuber known for his 'Jangsa-ui Sin' content, which provides free consulting to small business owners in the food service industry facing closure and shares the process through videos. He is also famous as a self-made entrepreneur who invested 30 million KRW in capital to start a chicken franchise and sold it for 20 billion KRW.
His autobiography, I Am Jangsa-ui Sin, was published, and a Naver Cafe named after his YouTube channel was established. However, recently, allegations have surfaced claiming that the actual sale price of his franchise was much lower than the amount he mentioned, sparking a controversy over falsehoods. Eun announced the suspension of his broadcasts on the 28th of last month and said he would focus on legal action against malicious commenters, stating, "I will return once it is proven that I have been cleared."
