Boosting the Pet Business... Shilla University Opens Equipment and Office

I-URP Project Group, Recruiting Tenants for Shared Office Spaces

Shilla University is recruiting companies in the pet industry that require campus equipment utilization and office space.

Shilla University (President Heo Nam-sik) I-URP Project Group announced on the 31st that it will recruit companies to move into its shared office this year.

The Shilla University I-URP Project Group operates a shared office for related companies to revitalize the local pet industry by establishing an industry-academia-research win-win ecosystem. The project group will accept applications from companies wishing to move in for 2024 from February 1 to 26.

Any pet-related company or prospective entrepreneur can apply. Through a first round of document screening including business plans and a second round of interviews, five companies will be finally selected.

Selected companies will receive support not only for facilities such as office space, meeting rooms, and seminar rooms but also for on-campus equipment and human resources including ‘GC-MASS’, ‘Retort Sterilizer’, ‘Spectrophotometer’, and ‘HPLC’.

Startup companies can benefit from reduced costs through low rent and support for various facilities and equipment. Companies wishing to move in can obtain detailed information through the Shilla University I-URP Project Group website.

Bae Il-kwon, head of the Shilla University I-URP Project Group, said, “We are preparing various support measures necessary for early startups, such as expert management mentoring, corporate education, and networking programs for companies and entrepreneurs related to the pet industry, as well as prospective entrepreneurs.”
