Kim Young-chul "Beckham had an aura"
Broadcaster Kim Young-chul shared an anecdote about unexpectedly meeting British football star David Beckham.
On the 31st, Kim Young-chul revealed on SBS PowerFM's 'Kim Young-chul's PowerFM' that he recently met Beckham. Previously, a photo of Kim Young-chul and Beckham together was released online, attracting the attention of netizens.
Kim Young-chul said, "I met David Beckham at a samgyeopsal restaurant two days ago. Have you seen the article?" He added, "There was even an article with a photo of Beckham and me with our arms around each other." He continued, "Beckham had a subtle smile, and I was showing about 12 teeth with a big smile, but I couldn't hide my nervousness at the time," adding, "I was really nervous." He recalled, "Beckham was born in 1975, so he's a year younger than me, but he had a brotherly aura that felt like an older brother when I was next to him. It was truly special."
Kim Young-chul also said, "Not in the UK or New York, but at a samgyeopsal restaurant in Korea, to unexpectedly run into the dream star Beckham?it's like winning the lottery. Isn't that a great fortune worth bragging about?" He expressed regret, saying, "I wanted to sing the Spice Girls' 'Wannabe,' but I couldn't. My friends stopped me, and there was no time for that." Beckham married Victoria, a member of the British girl group 'Spice Girls,' in 1999.
Meanwhile, Beckham visited Korea on the 29th to attend a sports brand event.
