Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) will hold a 'Resident Briefing Session on the Moa Town Management Plan (Draft) for the Area around Gonghang-dong 55.'
The briefing session, scheduled for 2 PM on the 6th of next month at the 2nd floor of the Gonghang-dong Community Center, is organized to explain the concept of the Moa Town system and the management plan draft, and to gather various opinions.
'Moa Town (Small-scale Housing Maintenance Management Area)' is a small-scale maintenance project that groups aging low-rise residential areas, where old and new buildings coexist making large-scale redevelopment difficult, into units within 100,000㎡ for joint development. Upon designation, it offers various regulatory relaxation benefits such as expansion of project area.
The Moa Town around Gonghang-dong 55 covers an area of 96,000㎡ and was selected as a Moa Town candidate site in October 2022; the management plan is currently being established.
Gangseo-gu is promoting customized maintenance projects suited to local characteristics, with management plans for five Moa Town sites, including the area around 1130-7, Hwagok 6-dong, approved and announced by the end of last year.
