Dongdaemun-gu (District Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) announced on the 31st that it will invest a budget of 600 million KRW in the "2024 Apartment Support Project," which provides partial financial support for the maintenance and repair of common facilities in apartment complexes.
The support targets apartment complexes with 20 or more households as defined by the Apartment Management Act, focusing on ▲disaster safety facilities such as floodgates ▲CCTV maintenance ▲outdoor sewage repair and dredging ▲flowerbed creation within the complex ▲asphalt pavement work on main roads ▲improvement of aging electrical and fire facilities for power outage preparedness ▲energy-saving and water-saving facilities that contribute to carbon neutrality ▲repair of children's playgrounds, and other items stipulated in the "Seoul Metropolitan City Dongdaemun-gu Apartment Management Support Ordinance."

In particular, priority will be given to ▲disaster prevention facilities that can directly affect residents' safety ▲small-scale and aging apartment complexes with poor finances and residential environments ▲facilities contributing to the creation of a carbon-neutral city ▲facilities contributing to the creation of a smart city.
Interested complexes can apply by submitting the application form and required documents, approved by the residents' representative meeting, by March 4th either by visiting the Housing Division of Dongdaemun-gu or by registered mail.
The district office will conduct on-site inspections of the applying complexes to review the necessity of support and construction costs, and select recipients by assessing the appropriateness of the support amount and project through a review committee. After the selected apartment management entity carries out the project and applies for the support fund, the district will review related documents such as completion certificates and then disburse the funds.
