Pearl Abyss announced on the 29th that Black Desert won the Excellence Award in the PC Game category at the Taipei Game Show 2024's 'Game Star Awards 2023.'
The Taipei Game Show holds the Game Star Awards every year, selecting popular games across various platforms such as PC, console, and mobile. Winners are determined solely by user votes, and this year, a total of 99 PC games were nominated.
Black Desert has won the Game Star Award for the sixth time from 2018 through this year. Since launching its service in Taiwan in January 2017, Black Desert has maintained its popularity among local users through stable service operations.
Pearl Abyss is increasing its engagement with Taiwanese users. The Black Desert development team visits in person to create opportunities for communication, while the operations team regularly holds offline events called 'Geomsa Dongnakhoe.'
Meanwhile, to celebrate the 7th anniversary of its Taiwan service, Pearl Abyss held a handmade baking event. Under the theme of celebrating the Black Spirit's birthday, users were given the chance to experience making desserts themselves. Additionally, various collaborations were showcased, including Uber Eats, themed restaurants, and custom mouse and keyboard products.
