‘Long hitter’ Bang Sin-sil has emerged as the top ‘most searched woman.’
The Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) announced on the 29th that an analysis of search rankings from May to December last year, after the official website was revamped, showed that Bang Sin-sil had the highest search volume. Currently training in Thailand, Bang Sin-sil expressed through the KLPGA, "I did not expect to be ranked number one in searches," and added, "Thanks to the support of my fans, I am grateful to have had a happy 2023 season." Last year, she won two tournaments?the 11th E1 Charity Open and the Dongbu Construction-Korea Land Trust Championship?making her the only rookie with two victories.
Park Min-ji ranked second in search volume. She made headlines by achieving a remarkable feat of winning the Celtrion Queens Masters three consecutive times and successfully defending her title at the BC Card-Hankyung Ladies Cup. Park Hyun-kyung came in third after securing her fourth career win following nine runner-up finishes. Yu Hyun-joo, who balanced broadcasting activities while competing on the Dream (2nd tier) Tour, ranked fourth, and Lee Ye-won, the 2023 season’s triple crown winner, was fifth.
