Namsun Aluminum "Korea GM Headquarters Visit Through Benchmarking Event of 'Hyupsinhae'"

Namseon Aluminum Automotive Division, a manufacturing affiliate of SM Group, announced on the 29th that the ‘Hyupsinhwe,’ a first-tier supplier association of Korea GM (General Motors), visited its headquarters for a benchmarking event of excellent domestic companies.

Namseon Aluminum Automotive Division was selected as an ‘Outstanding Quality Management Partner’ by Korea GM last year. Based on its high-quality competitiveness and supply capability, the company has been supplying bumper systems for Korea GM’s main vehicle models. This visit was organized as an opportunity to share excellent cases and know-how of stable processes and quality management systems by process with other partner companies.

The benchmarking event was attended by a total of 39 people, including Kim Won-jung, Director of Win-Win Cooperation at Korea GM, Park Sung-ho, Manager of the Win-Win Cooperation Team, and executives and employees of member companies of the Korea GM supplier association Hyupsinhwe. A company official said, “The event lasted for two hours, including a production line tour, company introduction, presentation of excellent improvement cases, and Q&A,” adding, “There were many questions about factory automation such as smart factories and excellent quality management know-how, which were the main interests of the attendees.”

Meanwhile, Namseon Aluminum Automotive Division has been selected as the ‘Supplier Of The Year,’ awarded only to the top 1% of partners recognized for innovative technology, quality, and supply capability among global GM automotive parts suppliers, for 12 consecutive years, not only by Korea GM but also by global GM.
