The Bukbu Fire Station of Gwangju Metropolitan City dramatically revived a woman in her 70s who lost consciousness and collapsed.
According to the Bukbu Fire Station on the 29th, the 119 ambulance team responded to a report on the 17th that a woman suddenly collapsed on a sidewalk in Dongnim-dong.
At the scene, emergency treatment was performed on the patient in cardiac arrest, including endotracheal intubation and securing an intravenous line (drug administration).
Fortunately, the patient regained spontaneous circulation thanks to the prompt treatment by the crew and was transported to a nearby hospital.
Last year, the Bukbu Fire Station saved 39 out of 204 cardiac arrest patients they transported. The rate of return of spontaneous circulation was 19.1%, which is 7.4% higher than the national average of 11.7%.
