Business Presentation Meeting to Be Held on the 30th, 2024
The Korea Tourism Organization will hold a 2024 business briefing session on the 30th at the Dragon City Hotel in Yongsan, Seoul, inviting over 250 participants from local governments, regional tourism organizations, and the tourism industry.

The briefing session will begin in the morning with presentations on the key directions for 2024 projects and business plans by headquarters, followed by presentations on overseas branch office plans in the afternoon. Afterwards, local governments and the tourism industry will have a business networking session together.
The organization plans to actively reflect the global surge of the Korean Wave in its business execution this year.
First, it will provide detailed introductions to various projects, including the 'K-Tourism Roadshow' utilizing diverse Hallyu content such as Korean cuisine and Korean dramas, a large-scale inbound promotion commemorating the '2023-2024 Visit Korea Year,' and the newly launched 'eSports Tourism Activation' project.
Projects to expand domestic travel will also be carried out more actively. These include the 'Travel Month' campaign to stimulate domestic travel demand and revitalize regional tourism, plans to expand the 'Digital Tourist Resident Card' project, as well as strengthening tourism contact services such as 'improving convenience for inbound tourists' and supporting the growth and global expansion of tourism companies.
A total of 38 projects will be introduced, including the 'Regional Tourism Promotion Organization (DMO) Development and Support Project,' a contest seeking solutions to regional tourism issues led by local communities, and the tourism venture business contest to discover innovative startups in the tourism sector.
Additionally, centered on the newly established 'Tourism Content Strategy Headquarters,' the organization will actively discover K-Culture convergence tourism products and attractive local tourism content. It also plans to showcase the 'Korea Tourism Industry Portal Collaboration' project aimed at strengthening tourism competitiveness based on data and digital technologies.
Seo Young-chung, Acting President of the Korea Tourism Organization, stated, "Following the recovery trend in the tourism market last year, we will do our best in 2024 to conduct more proactive inbound tourism marketing and cooperation across different industries." He added, "This year, the organization will activate tourism exports using K-content, aiming to achieve 20 million foreign tourists and also focus on revitalizing the domestic economy through tourism."
