NongHyup announced on the 29th that it will invest a total of 32.6 billion KRW, including its own budget and government discount coupons (11.1 billion KRW), to hold a price discount event at nationwide Hanaro Mart stores until the 9th of next month.
For recently high-priced apples and pears, various benefits such as partnership cards, in-house discounts, and coupons are combined to sell at prices discounted up to 47%. Additionally, discounted sales of livestock products such as Korean beef, pork, and eggs (up to 50%) and major Lunar New Year seasonal products such as flour and ceremonial goods (up to 70%) are also being held.
Moreover, not only during the holiday period but also year-round to stabilize prices, following last year's 188 discount events worth 177.5 billion KRW, this year they announced they will lead price stabilization through a total of 220 discount events worth 200 billion KRW.
