Lee Hyori and Lee Sangsoon Couple Produce and Distribute Music
Provide Missing Children Information via Murabel Product QR Code
Jeju Samdasoo has launched a campaign to find long-term missing children. Along with the couple Lee Hyori and Lee Sangsoon, they produced a music track to deliver a message of hope, while also using the QR code printed on the industry’s first label-free product to raise public awareness about missing children.
Jeju Samdasoo announced on the 29th that the campaign song related to long-term missing children, "Be Like Yours," released on the 10th of this month with the couple Lee Hyori and Lee Sangsoon, surpassed 1 million views on its music video within four days of release, receiving great response. The song, expressing a family's longing for a missing child, was composed by Lee Sangsoon and sung by Lee Hyori.
In addition to releasing the music track, Jeju Samdasoo is striving to raise social awareness about long-term missing children by utilizing the green QR code printed on the caps of their label-free products. When consumers scan the QR code, they can view product information for Jeju Samdasoo, and at the bottom, there is a banner and link for the long-term missing children campaign. Clicking this link directs users to the campaign page. The campaign page includes basic information such as the missing child’s photo, name, and age at the time of disappearance, along with an estimated current appearance restored to the present time.
Meanwhile, Jeju Samdasoo launched ‘Jeju Samdasoo Green,’ the first label-free product in the domestic drinking water industry with a QR code on the cap, in September last year. Label-free bottled water, which has no plastic film on the outside of the product, is environmentally friendly and preferred by consumers for its easy recycling. However, due to regulations related to mandatory labeling for drinking water, it was only possible to sell them in packs.
However, with the revision of standards, since last year, the individual sale of label-free drinking water displaying mandatory information via QR codes has been permitted. From 2026, the insertion of label-free QR codes on individual domestic drinking water products will be mandatory.
Baek Kyunghoon, President of Jeju Development Corporation, said, "We hope this campaign will raise social interest in long-term missing children and become an opportunity for many changes." He added, "We plan to continue the campaign by releasing additional digital videos and ask for the active interest and participation of consumers who love Jeju Samdasoo."
