Lunar New Year Intensive Vaccination, Operating from January 26 to February 8

Pohang City Nam-gu and Buk-gu Public Health Centers will operate a two-week intensive COVID-19 vaccination period from the 26th to the 8th of next month in preparation for the increase in group activities such as family gatherings ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.

Anyone aged 12 and over can receive the vaccine at designated medical institutions, and especially seniors aged 65 and older can receive the influenza vaccine simultaneously.

In addition, Pohang City is urging active cooperation in COVID-19 vaccination to secure immunity for residents and inpatients of vulnerable facilities with a high risk of infection due to group living conditions.

A representative from Pohang City Nam-gu and Buk-gu Public Health Centers said, “As respiratory diseases are increasing due to the cold weather, we hope many families will actively participate in COVID-19 vaccination ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday when many families gather,” adding, “We especially ask for active participation from vulnerable facilities such as nursing hospitals and elderly care facilities.”
