Recruiting 17 People Until February 12... Experience and Promote Songpa Cultural Events and Festivals
“The umbrella I am getting repaired this time is the third time it has been fixed. It was a gift I received 9 years ago, and because I am attached to it, I wanted to repair and continue using it. (Omitted) I heard that many visitors bring their umbrellas with broken ribs just like me. When I opened the fully repaired umbrella, the broken ribs were fixed and it looked like new, and folding and unfolding it was smooth, so I am very satisfied.”
This is an experience story of the visiting umbrella repair center written by reporter Nanhee Lee from the Songpa-gu blog reporter group in March last year. It recorded 5,280 views and attracted much interest and sympathy from residents.
Songpa-gu (Mayor Gangseok Seo) is recruiting the 8th Blog Reporter Group until February 12 to vividly deliver hidden news and various district administration information from all over the region.
The Songpa-gu Blog Reporter Group is the district’s representative SNS supporters who directly cover and introduce cultural events, lifestyle information, festivals, and more. Anyone in the Republic of Korea who is interested in Songpa-gu can apply.
In the previous term, participants included not only Songpa-gu residents but also residents from Seoul’s Gwanak-gu, Seongbuk-gu, Geumcheon-gu, Dongdaemun-gu, and even citizens from Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do.
In particular, the diverse occupations of the blog reporters contribute to visitors discovering unique charms of Songpa-gu. From housewives to bankers, teachers, university students, self-employed individuals, and photographers, the perspectives captured of Songpa-gu have moved beyond posts focused on past district events or administrative information, covering lifestyle information, exhibition or concert reviews, traditional market tours, and more in a colorful way.
Last year, the blog reporters posted a total of 251 articles about Songpa’s attractive streets, healing spots, and personal favorite spots, garnering approximately 173,000 views. This represents a 40% increase in the number of articles and a 34% increase in views compared to the previous year.
This 8th term will recruit a total of 17 members. Applicants can download the application form from the official Songpa-gu blog, fill it out, and submit it via email to the person in charge.
The final announcement will be made on February 19, and activities will take place from March to December. Selected articles will be published on the official Songpa-gu blog, and a modest writing fee will be provided.
For further inquiries, please refer to the Songpa-gu Office website or the blog announcement, or contact the Songpa-gu Public Relations Officer.
Gangseok Seo, Mayor of Songpa-gu, stated, “The blog reporter group, which quickly and vividly delivers various news of Songpa, is a great help to the daily lives of residents. We look forward to the participation of talented individuals with sparkling ideas in this 8th recruitment.”
