[Click eStock] "Hansol Paper to Drive Performance in Printing Paper and Specialty Paper This Year"

Annual Sales Expected to Reach 2.1 Trillion KRW and Operating Profit of 103.4 Billion KRW

Heungkuk Securities analyzed on the 26th that Hansol Paper's performance this year will be driven by printing paper and specialty paper.

Park Jong-ryeol, a researcher at Heungkuk Securities, stated in a report on the same day, "Although the performance was sluggish last year, this year the turnaround in the core paper business segment is expected to lead to a significant increase in consolidated operating profit," adding, "The two segments, printing paper (improved profitability through diversification of export regions) and specialty paper (enhanced profitability through product mix shift focusing on high-margin label paper), will drive the increase in consolidated operating profit."

Researcher Park also analyzed, "Even the struggling industrial paper segment is expected to see some improvement in profitability," explaining, "Since most competitors are recording operating losses, the cutthroat competition situation is expected to be resolved."

He projected that Hansol Paper will achieve annual consolidated sales of 2.1 trillion KRW and an operating profit of 103.4 billion KRW this year, representing a 4.3% decrease and a 119.1% increase respectively compared to the previous year.

He added, "Due to the low base effect from the previous year and the strong performance of printing paper and specialty paper, quarterly operating results this year are expected to show a favorable trend, unlike last year," and forecasted, "Operating losses in the environmental business segment will also be managed at around 8 billion KRW annually."
