'Zero Major Accidents'... GH Selects 26 Safety Leaders

'Zero Major Accidents'... GH Selects 26 Safety Leaders On the 25th, Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation held a Safety Leader Selection Ceremony to achieve ZERO serious accidents and selected 24 safety leaders.

Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation (GH) has selected 26 'Safety Leaders' to achieve zero major accidents (ZERO).

Safety Leaders perform enhanced safety supervision duties at their assigned construction sites and support safety and health tasks such as cross-site inspections and training.

From June to October last year, GH conducted audiovisual and experiential training for construction supervisors in technical fields such as architecture and civil engineering, and selected 26 individuals who completed all training courses as 'Safety Leaders.'

The audiovisual training included simulation methods assigning actual roles of the client and online education on site inspection techniques and safety rules for each task.

The experiential training involved visiting GS Construction's Safety Innovation School and conducting on-the-job training (OJT) inspections at five sites, where trainees directly inspected alongside inspection personnel.

Kim Se-yong, GH President, emphasized, "As safety accidents at construction sites significantly decreased last year, we will continue to strengthen GH's safety and health management system this year to create a GH free of safety accidents."

Meanwhile, GH achieved remarkable results last year, including a roughly 30% reduction in construction site safety accidents compared to the previous year and receiving an 'Excellent' rating in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's safety management level evaluation.
