Gwangju Dong-gu, Recruitment of Operating Organizations for Senior Social Contribution Activity Support Project

Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is recruiting operating organizations to participate in the '2024 Senior Social Contribution Activity Support Project' until February 6.

The 'Senior Social Contribution Activity Support Project' is a program that supports seniors aged 50 to under 70 to utilize their expertise and experience to provide volunteer-based public social services in the nonprofit sector.

The target operating organizations for recruitment are institutions located in Dong-gu with expertise in social contribution activities and personnel capable of project execution, meeting the requirements of social enterprises, social cooperatives, nonprofit corporations, or organizations.

Institutions wishing to apply should refer to the announcement section on the Dong-gu Office website, prepare the application form and related documents, and visit the Job and Economy Division of the district office to submit them by February 6.

The selected operating organizations will recruit participants and participating institutions and begin activities as operating organizations of the social contribution activity support project from March to December.

A Dong-gu official stated, "We expect this job project utilizing the careers and expertise of seniors to create job opportunities for retired residents," adding, "We will continue to promote social contribution projects to invigorate both individual lives and the local community."

Meanwhile, the qualifications for participants in the 'Senior Social Contribution Activity,' which will be recruited after the selection of operating organizations, are unemployed residents of Dong-gu aged 50 to under 70 who have relevant experience or certifications in the activity field. This year, 110 participants will be recruited, and a modest allowance for meals and transportation expenses will be provided. Up to 20 participating institutions where participants will be active will also be recruited. Detailed information will be provided after the selection of operating organizations.
