Visits by overseas dental professionals were conducted over a total of 73 sessions. Dentists from various countries including China, the United States, Russia, T?rkiye, Japan, India, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, New Zealand, Brazil, Kuwait, Bulgaria, Romania, Kazakhstan, and others visited Osstem Implant. They toured the central research institute facilities, product exhibition hall, and model dental clinics within the building, and participated in education programs focused on hands-on training using the latest equipment, experiencing advanced dental treatment technologies.
A company representative stated, “During the COVID-19 pandemic, we were unable to properly conduct building tour events, but after normalizing them in the endemic phase, there was a surge in demand from overseas dentists to visit. Experiencing Korea’s cutting-edge dental treatment technology concentrated in an industrial site is considered a valuable experience, and the tour programs consisting of tours and hands-on training have received high satisfaction, so we expect even greater popularity in the future.”
Osstem Implant expects more than 3,000 overseas dentists to participate in the Magok building tours this year, roughly double the previous year. This is because the global dentists’ international academic symposium, 'Osstem World Meeting,' will be held in Seoul for the first time in 13 years this April. The ‘2024 Osstem World Meeting Seoul,’ held over two days from April 27 to 28, will feature hands-on training and meetings with speakers from overseas branches at the Magok building, while five lecture sessions including live surgery and banquet events will be held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
Various groups also visited the Osstem Implant Magok building domestically. A total of 1,860 students and professors majoring in dentistry, dental hygiene, and dental technology from dental colleges nationwide visited. Since last year, Osstem Implant has fully expanded its scholarship program targeting dental hygiene and dental technology departments nationwide and has been operating a ‘Visitor’s Day’ event tailored specifically for them. In addition, 278 dental college hospital professors and residents, 152 general dental clinic doctors and staff, and 305 members of various academic societies, research groups, and government agencies also visited the Magok building.
