Kyochon Chicken Hangzhou Branch Achieves 200 Million KRW Sales in One Month... "350 Chickens Sold Daily"

Opened in December last year... 13th store in China
Instantly ranked 1st in sales among Asian stores
"Accelerating expansion into first-tier cities like Hangzhou"

The Kyochon Chicken directly operated store in Hangzhou, China, achieved sales of over 210 million KRW within just a month of opening, becoming the top store in the Asia region (China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Taiwan). The average daily sales amount to about 7 million KRW, selling more than 350 chickens per day.


According to industry sources on the 25th, Kyochon opened a new store, Hangzhou Central Store, at Hangzhou Central Mall in Hangzhou, China, on December 20 last year. It is the thirteenth store in China and the first in the Hangzhou area.

Hangzhou is one of the new first-tier cities in China, known as a representative "economic city" with a large young floating population and strong purchasing power. In particular, Hangzhou Central Mall, where Kyochon Chicken Hangzhou Central Store is located, is situated in the heart of Hangzhou, densely packed with numerous shopping malls, offices, and sports centers, and is only 1 km away from the region's largest tourist attraction, West Lake, attracting both locals and tourists continuously.


According to local officials, Kyochon Chicken Hangzhou Central Store has proven the hot popularity of "K-Chicken" with long waiting lines from the moment it opened. The first month's sales exceeded 210 million KRW, achieving the highest sales among Kyochon Chicken stores in Asia, continuing its strong performance. Earlier this year, it also ranked first in buzz in the small fast food category in the Hangzhou area on China’s leading gourmet and lifestyle app "Dazhong Dianping".


A Kyochon F&B official said, "At Kyochon Chicken Hangzhou Central Store, we focus on spreading the taste and culture of 'K-Chicken' and 'K-Food' by offering a variety of local specialized menus such as cutlet bibimbap alongside our signature menus like Kyochon, Red, and Honey." He added, "As a directly operated store, we will take the lead in improving the awareness and preference of 'Kyochon Chicken' in China through stricter quality control."


As of this month, Kyochon Chicken has 13 stores in four cities in China: Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, and Changzhou. After verifying marketability through the Hangzhou Central Store, Kyochon plans to accelerate its entry into first-tier cities in China, including Hangzhou.
